Mrs. Betty M. Tague Fields

Born July 9, 1926 in Bloomington, IN, she was the daughter of Jacob and Jessie (Terrell) Tague.

Betty was retired from the Perry Township Assessor’s office as a secretary; she had also been a Pink Lady with Bloomington Hospital Auxiliary. Betty was a member of the Daughter of the American Revolution, American Legion Auxiliary (35 year member), and the Social Order of the Beauceant (50 year member).

Betty is survived by her husband, Gene Fields of Bloomington, IN; who she married on November 24, 1946. Also surviving is her daughter, Jeanne Hayes and husband Terry of Martinsville, IN; daughter, Kathy Martindale and husband Ivan; son, Tracy Fields; and a grandson Thomas Martindale, all of Bloomington, IN.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 from 4-8 PM at the mortuary. Burial will be at Carmichael Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carmichael Cemetery, American Breast Cancer Society, and the American Heart Association, in memory of Betty M. Fields.
