Danny Edward Egan

Danny Edward Egan, age 70, of Bloomfield, died Friday (9/27/19) at the I.U. Health, Bloomington Hospice House. Born November 18, 1948 in Bloomington, he was the son of Ralph and Louise (Hatton) Egan. Danny served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a mechanic, and later in life as a truck driver. He loved to fish, hunt and work on cars in his spare time. He was a former member of the American Legion. Danny is survived by his wife, Kathy (Brummett) Egan, of Bloomfield; one son, Danny Joe Egan (wife Christina Foust) at home; two sisters, Donna Hedrick (husband Dennis) and Jenny Conner (husband Rick), both of Bloomington; one nephew, Phillip Hedrick; three grandsons, Shawn Egan (wife Briana), Mark Egan, and Jesse Egan and two great-grandsons, Brayden and Phoenix Egan. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Barry Scott Egan; and one grandson David Egan A funeral service will be held on Tuesday (10/1/19) at 12:00 p.m. at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary; 700 W. Gourley Pike. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m.at the Greene County Chapel Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
