Margaret Marge "Marge" Gentry Carter

Margaret “Marge” Carter, 93, of Solsberry, IN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 31, 2012. She was born August 21, 1919 in Washington County, IN the daughter of the late Raymond and Lucille Gentry.

Marge operated Marge’s Sewing Shop and she also worked at Sims Cleaners. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. She enjoyed sewing, crouching, planting flowers, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Marge is survived by her sister, Elsie Reynolds; a step-son, Dick Carter; a step-daughter, Betty May; caregiver and friend, Wayne England; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel Carter; her two sons, Floyd and Clarence Brinegar; four sisters, and a brother.

Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 4, 2013 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Hendricksville, IN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel.
