Marty Gene Smith

Marty was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and raising his own food with his longtime companion Christann Shelley.

Marty is survived by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Korki(Michael)Tharp and his brother Mickey David Smith. He is also survived by his niece Rachael Tharp, nephews: Ryan Tharp, David Smith and Daniel Smith, his great nephews: Arlo Vickrey and Aiden Tharp, and his great niece Arissa North and yet to be born baby girl Vickrey.

Marty was preceded in death by the love of his life Christann Shelley in 2013.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. A graveside service will be held in Valhalla Memory Gardens on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
