Mary F. Harlow Owings

Mary F. Owings,89, passed away Saturday April 23, 2011 in Arcadia, Florida. She was born in Sullivan, IN on September 11, 1921 to the late Clyde and Ethyl (Engel) Harlow. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. She loved to do crafts, sewing and quilting, fishing and camping with family. She loved shuffleboard, spending time with family and loving the grandchildren. She was also a member of the Fraternal order of the Eagles in Florida.

She is survived by 4 daughters and husbands: Lorene A. and Ronald Kelly of Florida, Frances C. and Roland Hodge of Indianapolis, Della I. and Robert Eickbush of Florida and Patsy B. and Allen Svihlik of Florida, Five Sons and their wives: Austin O. and Phyllis Owings of Florida and Indiana, James L. and Janie Owings of Florida, Michael L. and Diane Owings of IN, Joseph L. Owings of IN and Stephen W. Owings of IN.

34 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren and 21 Great, Great Grandchildren, and 2 sisters: Ruby and Mildred.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Her Husband: Otto O. Owings in April 1992, a Son: Charles Owings and 2 Brothers and 1 Sister.

Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 3 to 8 PM at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel. The service will be held at the Mortuary on Friday at 10:00 AM with burial following at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
