Rebecca Nell Ayers

Rebecca Nell Ayers, 86 of Bloomington died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in Allisonville Meadows Nursing Home in Fishers. She was born December 1, 1931 in Bloomington to Doyle Cantrell and Harriet Fern Abram Cantrell. She was retired from the Indiana University Alumni Office.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Ayers; a sister, Sharon Coster of Fishers; a grandson, Bradley Ayers of Fishers; two nieces, Joni and Jill; and a nephew, Ben. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Kendall Ayers.

Becky was a member of Southern Hills Church of Christ, she enjoyed shopping and crafts and especially going to the Covered Bridge Festival which combined the two. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and knitting.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, with Brother Pat Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, January 18 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
