

Anthony Paul Ruotolo “Tony”, 83, of Highland Beach, Florida passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015. Born in New Haven, CT son of Clement and Maria Grieco Ruotolo. And was the last of 10 siblings. Anthony proudly served his country briefly with the US Marine Corps and then as a pilot in the US Navy from which he retired. He Started his career with three years in VR-23 at Atsugi, Japan; was an instructor in Pensacola FL; ship’s company on the aircraft carrier USS FDR; participated 4 years in the early Navy flight expeditions to the Antarctic mapping for the U.S. Geological Survey as well as transporting dignitaries from New Zealand to the frozen continent; in Washington, DC as a pilot for Navy Admirals, Secretaries, and congressmen flying to world capitals.
Tony had a second career as a real estate broker managing several large offices as well as a well-loved teacher at the National Institute of Real Estate in Virginia. He graduated from the Naval Post graduate School in Monterey, CA with a degree in International Relations, University of Virginia with a Masters in Urban Planning, and served in Americorps in Florida and spent many years as a volunteer in Palm Beach County.
Surviving Is his wife, Terry, sons Paul, Tom. Eric, Tim; daughter Ann Lynch and grandchildren Gabe (Jodi) , Chris, Bridget, Ryan, Ali, Lydia, Owen, Alex, and Sophie and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3510 S Ocean Blvd, Highland Beach, FL 33487. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
