

Blanche Mary Blanchet, 94, of Lake Worth and formerly of Boca Raton, was called home by God on Saturday, May 2, 2015. She was surrounded by her family. Blanche was born on May 1, 1921 in North Oxford, MA, the only child of Alfred and Mary Simoneau. She married Raymond Henri Blanchet on October 28, 1939. She and Ray lived in Woonsocket, RI for many years. She enjoyed a career in retail sales management. Blanche and Ray retired toOkeechobee, Florida in 1981. They moved to Lake Worth in 1984 to be closer to their daughter and her family. Blanche’s greatest joy in life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, son-in-law, grandsons, granddaughters-in-law, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Her hobbies included embroidery and playing cards.
Blanche is survived by her daughter Gloria Jean (Roland)Bisson of Boca Raton, grandsons Rene (Sandra) Bisson of Boca Raton and David (Sheila) Bisson of Laurel, MD. Blanche is also survived by her great-grandchildren Christina Bisson, Jonathan Bisson, Matthew Bisson, Rachel Bisson, and great-great-grandchildren Lillianne and KJ. Blanche is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and many friends.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ray, on August 8, 1994.
A Memorial Mass at St. John the Evangelist Boca Raton will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at 10:00a.m. with Father O’Flaherty officiating. A graveside service will be held in Massachusetts at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to your local hospice chapter in Blanche’s memory.
