Carol Laura Schottenfeld

Carol Schottenfeld, 77, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on July 3, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was raised in Long Island, NY. It was there in her twenties that she met the love of her life, Marc.

She was always her children and grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader. She was proud of each of them. Whether they were running their own business, earning a master’s degree, being an outstanding equestrian, serving their country, making others feel beautiful, or taking stunning photographs, if they were happy, their Nonna was happy for them.

She was a friend that everyone hoped to have in their life. One that showed up for the good times, but most importantly, one that you could always count on to be there in the bad times. If you were sick, she was there with her nursing skills, and if you needed advice or someone to talk to, she would always be there to listen and offer support.

She had many joys in life. A good martini, slot machines, mahjong with the girls, cooking for her family and friends, and volunteering at her beloved St. Ambrose Church; whether it was running the carnival, bingo, or teaching CCD, she was ready and willing to help.

She is survived by her husband, Marc; children, William (Danielle) Wiesenecker, Kristin (Dustin) Schuttemeyer; grandchildren and great-grandchild: Jordan, Nicole, Tyler, Faith, Devon, Dillon, Lawton, Brooke, CJ, Kaylee, Zachary, and Kaya.

A celebration of life visitation for Carol will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio, Boca Raton, FL 33428. A funeral mass will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 380 Federal Highway, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you to consider donating in Carol’s name to The American Cancer Society, St. Ambrose Church, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or your favorite pet rescue.
