To all :  Today I learned of Diane Rufino Bifano ' s passing away from Barbara Pugliese Marosits, a friend from Mountain Ridge Country Club and I was very sad to hear that my dear friend  best older sister, that the Lord Jesus Christ had blessed me with in New Jersey ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡  I am praying for Diane's  soul to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, and bless the family amen ● ♡ 

I miss you terribly. My heart, my life forever saddened. If I get to Heaven I will find you my forever friend.

When I returned home, the feather was now on my bathroom counter. I know, Diane you put it there, so I know you came for a visit with me. I knew you would! Do me a favor my angel, drop a feather for Tony, Anthony, and Evie. You leaving is so hard for all of us because are hearts hurt but you know that. Keep the feathers coming. Tim and I send our deepest sympathies to Tony, Anthony, Evelyn and Diane’s entire beloved family on her passing. You truly have participated in the life and challenges of one extraordinary woman, who will be missed by so many. She loved you all so deeply and her family life was her greatest joy and accomplishment, among so many that she had.
We regret being unable to be at the celebration of Diane’s homecoming on Wednesday, as have commitments in North Carolina. We often got together with Diane on some of our trips south and those warm and wonderful gatherings will be so missed, as it was a time when we caught up on all her incredible undertakings. In spite of great and overwhelming challenges, she was a woman of great energy, intelligence, faith, willingness and so eager to share the many and great talents with which she was gifted. Having worked with her in many events over the years, I knew that there was never a task that was too big to tackle and not only to tackle, but with enthusiasm, as she always approached everything. 
She was a role model for so many women in her family, in her church and church activities, in her workplace and the educational field. I was so proud of her the first time she told me she was going back to school, but never dreamed what great accomplishments she would come to have, even though she started her education late. She taught so many that it is never too late to make a small or big impact on our lives and the lives of those around us. She was nothing short of dynamic, and considering the illnesses she battled, she was spectacular! These accomplishments made her all the more willing to help anyone she could, and each encounter was entered into with kindness, love and compassion, gifts that accompanied her throughout her lifetime.
She always signed her correspondence “With enthusiasm,” which always reminded me of the Greek translations of the words, meaning “in God.” If there was anything that Diane was in, it was certainly “in God” as she created an atmosphere of God’s love, peace, humor and lively spirit with everything she did. She was both “in God” in life and now in a deeper, more joyful and certainly easier way for her, she is “in God” in death.

My dear, dear Diane...we met in the neighborhood pool several years ago. We started talking and sharing about our lives and family and work. She was radiant with health.  Not only were we neighbors, but our paths crossed throughout our professional lives as well, she through PBC, and I through FAU. This lovely woman and I wound up shriveled in the pool, and had talked for hours.  I started off by telling her about my amazing experience at PBSC, trying to enroll my high school daughter in dual enrollment.  I was caught in a horrendous maze of administrative red tape, but that one woman at PBSC I had finally reached on the phone who saved my sanity with just one click of her wrist and a piece of needed information.  I was telling Diane how impressed I was with this incredible woman...Diane said, "Was her name Evelyn?"  I said, "Yes!  How did you know that?"  She said, "That's my mother!"  That was all it took and we connected forever. We knew we would share this bond, and Diane started her doctorate in my college.  She was brilliant, kind, and deserving of all the good things in this world.  She touched everyone around her and her light will shine forever.

Diane was a good friend and a major force in encouraging me to pursue a teaching as well as a Ph.D.  She had this effect - she brought joy and enthusiasm to everyone she touched.  Sincerest condolences to her son, who she loved and supported so much that she sported a Semper Fi tatoo!  Diane was one of a kind, and very missed.

Diane has always had a positive attitude no matter what was thrown at her. She live her life to the fullest never letting anything get her down. She will be missed by all.

When I teach about personal relationships in my Communications class, I tell my students that everyone who passes through our lives can be placed on a continuum from acquaintances to very close friends. I explain that during their lifetimes, they will have thousands of acquaintances passing in and out of their lives, and many, many friends. However, I add, they will most likely only have a handful of very close friends. Diane was part of my handful; she was one of my few. I met her about 15 years ago when she dropped by my office at the College. She introduced herself as a Speech faculty member, and said, I heard you are going to teach a Speech class. Need some help? So Diane, isn't it? And Diane was everythingand morethat you have all said about her. She was beautiful, passionate, compassionate, kind, generous, intelligent, fair, and even funny. My heart aches that she is gone. However, I am thankful that I have so many wonderful and warm memories of Diane and the times we spent together, that she will remain in my heart forever. Diane Bifanowow, what a special lady.  I had the privilege to get to know Diane during her role as Dean, as well as a Professor. Ms. Bifano was my Speech professor and she was by far one of my favorites. She was always smiling,always positive, and had a way of making people feel happy just to be around her. I feel beyond blessed to have had the chance to know her.
She will be missed but never ever forgotten.

Ghandi said,"My life is my message." which also applies equally as directly to Diane as well. She embodied a consistent and compassionate message to love, laugh, and live and invited everyone else she touched to join in "with enthusiasm"! It was a blessing to have known and experienced her as a woman, a leader, and a valiant gladiator for a life well-lived.

Though I only once met Diane, I know that she was a very strong woman with a very big heart, qualities that she has passed down to her wonderful son. In him I see all the amazing things that were said about her, and it makes me smile. With all my heart, I truly believe that she will forever watch over the lives of many and guide them in her own special way. Her positive energy will forever live on.

Diane Bifano went the extra mile to service our students, even if they were not in her division.  For example, the students in my non-majors biology class are required to do presentations as a part of their final grade. Diane took the time from her busy schedule to come to the class to give the students pointers on presentation skills. They were honored to have an Associate Dean give them the personalized attention.  I miss her but I smile when I think f her.

This is probably one of the hardest things I ever had to write in my life and you know how much I don't like to write. I want to thank you for being such an amazing mother to me. You have taught me so much throughout my life and I am so grateful to call you mom. I am the man I am today because of you and dad. There are so many great memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I am constantly asking myself why this had to happen and that it's not fair why did he take you from our lives so soon but God has a plan and he received the best Angel he could get. You are probably up there right now doing some Meyers Briggs or some Reiki. Thank you for always supporting me and always being a helicopter mom. You were such a kind hearted person and never said no to anyone. I promise that no matter what I do in life I will be doing it for you and to keep making you proud. I know you will be looking down on dad and I to keep us safe. I still remember all the times I would come and sit in on speeches and just seeing you up there doing your thing made me so proud to have you as my mother. You will be missed by so many people. Ms. Diane was nice, caring, generous and giving to other people.  I used to hide under her desk when I came to her office at the college.  She would always say, "where's my girl?"  I loved her very much, and will miss her big hugs and smile.  Rest peacefully Ms. Diane.

I had the opportunity to be touched by wonderfully positive Diane when she attended a think-tank for a student activity I was planning. She came to listen, learn and contribute so unselfishly her gift of communications. The lesson I learned from this great professor is that it is not the quantity but the quality of our interactions with others we meet that really count. She made an impact in my heart and I am sure in the minds of all the students she taught. May all her family be strengthened by her beautiful spirit.

I'll forever treasure the leadership class we taught together one Spring Term and her wise council for me when I encountered problems as the Speech Department Chair. I'll remember her ability to turn problems into opportunities. I'll cherish the Cheescake Factory lunches before graduation and later whenever we could schedule them around her treatments. She was a model of grace and how to deal with the daunting challenge of cancer and I will carry that memory with me for the rest of my days. Rest well, Diane. You're the best!!

Aunt Di was an extraordinary human being. She laughed, she danced, she sung for joy with each breath that she took. I have been so very, very blessed to have spent the time with her that I did. As I continue this strange thing called life, I will remember her sheer strength, her courage in times of trouble, and her eternal optimism. She had so much creativity and joy, filling everyone who she met with positive energy. She had the strength and the courage to enjoy life, even in the darkest hours. She is so loved, by me and by all of our family. She will be missed more than words could say.

Diane was a beautiful soul and I felt privileged to have known and worked with her.  The world has suffered a terrible loss; she will be greatly missed.

Prof. Bifano/Diane was a wonderfully wise, humorous, supportive colleague and supervisor to me as an adjunct instructor in English at Central Campus over several years.  
Her often humorous email dispatches to me and others, on so many different topics, as well as her willingness to share ideas and insights about working in higher ed, are sorely missed and remain incomparable.  Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences.

I wish there were words to express the beauty, kindness, courage and love that Diane brought to our lives. One of my most treasured memories of Diane was a moment at the beach, where she held my infant daughter and said, "This is what it's about. The rest of it just doesn't matter." She had this ability to make ordinary moments extraordinary. Good bye, my friend. You will be missed and your memory cherished.

I was so sorry to hear about Diane Bifano' s passing: it saddened me deeply. I had her as a professor in Spring of 1999, for Public Speaking, and I still have the poster board I had developed for her for one of my speeches on Pet Therapy... Diane was the BEST professor I have ever had in my entire life.. I did not know she was sick.. She remembered me when I saw her at a meeting a few years ago.

I have been teaching as an Adjunct in Environmental and Physical Sciences for PBSC since 2006, Diane made a huge difference for me with regards to my public speaking skills. I was most shy and introverted.

I am most saddened by her passing, my deepest condolences to her family.. I hope she is smiling at us from above...

Diane was a loving dean and a wonderful person. She defended faculty and always found the good in what we did. Always one to add the human touch, she baked for us, and treated us as if she was lucky to work with us and not the other way around. I remember how thoughtfully she provided fruit, her homemade baked goods, and coffee at division meetings. She was also so kind to us individually. Her office was always open, and was scented with lavender. Everything about her was welcoming and kind. She thought continually of others, and loved her family ferociously. My thoughts are with all of Diane's family now during this time of loss.

Diane was such a wonderful person and we will miss her terribly.  No more sorrow, no more pain....  She fought the good fight of faith..

God's big gain is our big loss -- yet her fine example remains in the hearts of all of us who knew her.  May you find peace, the peace she would want you to feel.

My Aunt Di was a second mom to me & my siblings. I have so many beautiful and funny memories of Diane from our St.Jude days.  She was always so positive and brought a smile to everyone's face that came in contact with her. I am so grateful to have known her and feel she will inspire me no matter what life brings.

When someone we love passes, we often hear: God must have needed another angel...

There is no doubt in my mind that God called Diane home, because Heaven must need her beauty and brains, her glorious sense of humor, her unending strength, and her wonderful personality. 

I'm convinced that God put Diane on this earth to make so many people happy, to empower them with her strength, to inspire them with her faith. 

We're all richer to have had Diane in our lives, and now, if it's possible to make Heaven even better, it will be with my beautful niece at God's side.

Diane was a woman of many gifts and talents. She was a Wife , Mom, Daughter, Sister, Writer, Poet, but foremost she was a friend to everyone. She loved people and was an inspiration to all and was truly devoted to her family and faith. 
I was blessed to also have Diane as a friend and a devoted loving wife for over 30 tears. So many people were fortunate to have known her and have her as a true friend. However no one could ever have been blessed as I have, You see... she was my BEST FRIEND and soul mate. 
God has chosen to have her back with him, to continue her spiritual journey in a better world. Remember and cherish the times you shared with her. 
The best gift a person can have in their life is to have known her.

There is no way to know how to walk forward into life without my sister Diane in it. She was my constant inspiration in life; her courage was astounding, her zest for life was contagious.  Her love, poetics, and depth of spirituality moved everyone she touched, and she touch so many. Diane was a fountain of compassion, bringing joy to everyone...even to the cashiers at Publix who she always addressed by name! We shared a most beautiful bond as sisters and I am so grateful for all of our many adventures together...Italy, France, Japan (twice), Greece, Whidbey Island. Our family will always honor your life and memory. I love you my sister, forever.
