Diane Rose Brusca passed away unexpectedly at her home on December 30, 2019. Born on November 20, 1946, she was the only daughter of Mario and Josephine DeBlasi and grew up in the Bronx, New York. She was a 1964 graduate of Walton High School and soon after married Robert Brusca on May 1, 1965 who would remain her husband for over 54 years. Diane briefly worked for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and AT&T before she started a family and having two sons, Anthony and Joseph. Her family relocated to Florida in 1972 where she would remain a resident for the remainder of her life living in the cities of Plantation, Margate and Delray Beach. As her children reached adulthood, Diane returned to work as a member of the Broward County School System where she would eventually retire as part of the Coral Springs High School Staff. Later, she would thrive in the roles as a volunteer at the Delray Medical Center and as caregiver to her son, father and mother while nurturing her affinity for animals with her many pets. Diane and Robert spent their retirement traveling around the world, sharing the company of their many friends from the Polo Trace community, and enjoying the role of grandparents to their two grand-daughters, Sarah and Hannah. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Frank Dalo and her son Joseph Brusca. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Emmanuel Catholic Church where she was a parish member to be followed by interment at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
