Doris Louise (Solari) Sivo, of Boca Raton, FL went to her eternal home at the age of 93. She lived a full life surrounded by family and friends.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Doris was born in Jersey City, NJ on March 17, 1932 to Andrew and Emily Solari of Italian and Swedish origin. She married Paul Sivo, a U.S. Navy Seabee, on June 3, 1951 and their marriage lasted 65 years until his death. Doris was a woman of many talents, working as a tax preparer for H&R Block and a bookkeeper for her son’s chiropractic practice, as well as a homemaker and seamstress. She enjoyed tennis, baking, sewing and cooking.
She was very proud of her family and is survived by her children, Frank Sivo, Andrea (Michael) Picardi, and Paula (Ed) Manzanares; grandchildren, Michael (Irene), Vincent (Ally), Emily, Anthony, Maria; great grandchildren Ivy, Arya, Isabella and Emma; and her brother, Allen Solari.
Doris was a devoted wife and mother with a sacrificial heart, putting her family above all else, a family who will carry on her legacy of love and service to others.
A viewing is scheduled for March 15 from 4 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive in Boca Raton. She will be laid to rest on March 16 at 1:15 p.m. at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7 in Lake Worth. There will be a procession to the cemetery leaving from Babione Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m.; attendees will use lane five.
