Born on December 26, 1949 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was adopted by Apolonia and Michael J. Radaci. He shared his life with his sister Virginia and brother Darrell. He graduated from Munhall High School in Munhall PA. Then continued his education at General Motors Institute, Community College of Allegheny County, and Robert Morris University. He was a member of the United States Marine Corp serving in Vietnam. His automotive interest began at the age of 6 when his grandfather would take him to Radaci Carburetor Service to spend afternoons with his dad in the repair shop. This led to work in retail and corporate companies. He held many positions in the service sector and retired from Mercedes-Benz USA.
Jerry was a quiet man, a true friend with a kind heart and a great sense of humor. He was loved by so many of his friends who will sadly miss him.
Married to the love of his life Susan Porterfield, brought great joy to his family which was shared with their son Michael of whom he was so proud. He and Michael enjoyed their love of cars at every level from local and national car shows to the racing venues of CART, INDY, NASCAR, and F1. Weekends at the beach were also great family vacations on the east and west coast of Florida.
Jerry leaves behind many loved ones: Susan, his loving and devoted wife of 49 years; his wonderful son Michael; his sister, Virginia (Radaci) Simone and brother-in-law, Salvatore Simone: his brother, Darrell Radaci; his sister-in-law, Patricia (Porterfield) Seddon; Timothy Seddon; many nephews, great nieces and great nephew.
