Jane Elizabeth Couto

COUTO, JANE- On September 29, 2015, Jane Couto, 72, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of fifty years of Edward Couto. Jane was born in Providence, Rhode Island on November 6, 1942; daughter of the late Colonel John Barrett and survived by her mother Florence Barrett. She graduated with honors in nursing from the Community College of Rhode Island, and spent her whole career caring for others as a registered nurse until retiring in 2007. Jane was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed singing and dancing to Irish music played by her favorite band, Echoes of Erin. She also enjoyed playing tennis, travelling, and spending time with friends. Jane was the mother of Gregory and Jeffrey Couto and their wives, Kim and Tracey; sister of John Barrett, Emily Silver, Mary Lou Barrett, the late Nancy Baglini, and George Barrett. Jane is also survived by her five grandchildren Nicholas, Charlize, Riley, Emily, and John Couto, along with her nieces Bonnie Baglini, Elan Morrison, Tara Twist, and Bethany Barrett, and nephews Josh Barrett, Daniel Silver, and Jay DeLuca.
