Jeanne “Jean” Gammage Dozier, age 87, passed away on September 13, 2025.
Born in Bronwood, Georgia, she was the only child to James Acleva Gammage (1898–1978) and Mary Moss Gammage (1903–1980), Ms. Dozier lived most of her life in Albany, GA. A graduate of the University of Georgia, she retired as a teacher from the Dougherty County School System. She was an active member of Sherwood Baptist Church and served as a volunteer at the Alpha Pregnancy Center for many years.
Survivors include her sons, Wesley Dozier, James Dozier (Ann), granddaughter, Kathryn Dozier (Jack Pearson).
A celebration of life service honoring her will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia at 10:00 AM.
