June L. Priest

June Priest of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away on December 25, 2023 at the age of 99. June was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 21, 1924. June contracted Polio at an early age and suffered through many surgeries.

In 1943, she met Anthony Priest (Tony) while he was on leave from the Army, and they wed in 1944 . Their first son, Vernon, was born a year later, after which they moved from Iowa to Miami. In Miami, they were welcomed by Tony’s family and in-laws, developing friendships that lasted a lifetime. Harold was born four years later.

Other than being a wonderful mother and grandmother, June, being raised by blind parents, gave her time to the blind and other disability programs. June was also passionate about arts and crafts, especially pottery, making many beautiful pieces. She loved to entertain, filling her home with warmth and kindness. We will miss her greatly.

June was predeceased by Tony who died in 1987. She is survived by:

Her son, Vernon, his wife Susan, grandsons Jeffrey and Steven, his fiance Anthie and great-grandchildren Christina and Nicolas.

Her son, Harold, his wife Cindy, grandson Michael, his wife Tera and grandson Kevin, his wife Christina and great-grandchildren Miles and Olivia.

There will be a Celebration of Life from 6-8 PM on January 5, 2024 at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432.

A visitation for June will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Babione - Kraeer Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33432, followed by a prayer service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
