Peter Robert DeSalvo Jr.

Peter Robert DeSalvo Jr., age 96 passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. Peter was born in Maspeth, New York on June 7,1927 of two immigrant parents, Peter R. DeSalvo Sr of Sicily and Clara Hausman of Switzerland. He moved to Centereach, Long Island, NY where he married and raised his family, later moving to Boca Raton, Florida with his wife, Nancy, after retirement.

A dedicated and loving husband and father, he was well known as a skilled auto body repair/refinisher, and bicycle repairman, as well as an accomplished musician who had a lifelong passion for playing his trumpet anytime and anywhere.

Peter is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy DeSalvo, his two sons, Peter Philip DeSalvo, DMA and Steven DeSalvo, as well as his five grandchildren, Peter James DeSalvo, Jessica DeSalvo Newton, Suzanne T. Thomas, Hannah DeSalvo, and Brandon DeSalvo. Peter is also blessed with four great grandchildren, Declan Thomas, Teagan Thomas, Rosalind Newton and Dean Newton.

A celebration of life for Peter will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33428. Following the celebration of life for Peter DeSalvo Jr., a committal service will take place in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of Heaven, 1400 S. State Rd. 7, N. Lauderdale, FL 33068.
