Oh Pat,  I am so saddened to have come upon Rick’s obituary.   I know this has been an overwhelming experience for you.  I pray that the love of friends and family - yours and Rick’s - will enfold you in a blanket of the kind of loving kindness that Rick shared with us all.
May he Rest In Peace. His memory will always be a blessing, as his friendship was to us in life.

I knew Rick for over 45 years from the old Cincinnati days.  I will miss our conversations and visits there, in Chicago and Florida.
We were "Car Nuts"  and always talked all the models, especially Oldsmobiles.

I worked with Rick at Rush. He was a good friend. I remember his dry wit and skeptical perspective regarding hospital politics. I am very saddened by his death.

My deepest condolences to Rick's mom, brother and extended family and friends.  I worked with Rick in Neurology for many years and he was always kind, thoughtful, and fun to chat with.  Rest in peace, Rick.

Rick will always live in many, many hearts.  What an amazing, funny, intelligent man.  

He was my Mr. Rick, since I started in Neurology, and after many years of working together, I became his SHERBEAR! I will cherish the things he taught me, he was truly a pleasure to work with!

We laughed so hard we'd cry.  This was our norm in the Payroll Dept. working with Rick.  He made that department the funnest place to work, you almost couldn't consider it work.
The good times continued to roll even after hours.  Lots of joking around over dinners and drinks.
Rick was amiable, considerate and compassionate to others.
I just spoke with him back in January of this year.  We intended to get together soon on my next trip to Florida.
I will miss him and will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
