

Rosa Massari, 85, of Boca Raton, FL and formally of Port Saint Lucie, FL, passed away on Sunday August 28, 2016. Rosa was born in Giovinazzo, Italy, daughter of the late Saverio and Maria Bavaro. For 40 years, Rosa was a very active parishioner at the St. Lucie Catholic Church. She was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, administering Holy Communion to those in nursing homes and the home bound. Rosa was a member of the St. Lucie Council of Catholic Women and devoted countless hours to making rosaries which were sent to overseas missions and deployed servicemen. Surviving Rosa are 2 siblings, Angela and Nicholas, her three loving sons, Patsy, Saverio, and Michael, and their wives and families, which include five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and family from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and again from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Babione Funeral Home (West Chapel) 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33428. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 10300 Yamato Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33498. Entombment to immediately follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, West Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
