Bahre Willis, 76, of Bolivia, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel Willis and Augustus (Gus) Willis. Bahre is survived by his loving wife, Brenda; his sons, James (Jay) Roberts and Josh Willis; his grandchildren, Daniel Roberts, James Roberts, and Amanda Huff; and his great-granddaughter, Adalyn Huff. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Lorrie Roberts, and grandson-in-law, Ryan Huff. He is further survived by his brother, Drew Willis; his sister, Nancy Tatterson; his sister-in-law, Miriam Willis; and his brother-in-law, George Tatterson, as well as his niece and three nephews.
Bahre was a true “numbers guy,” spending many years working as a controller for Star Pontiac in Leesburg, Virginia and rounding out his career later in life as a realtor with Coldwell Banker in Bolivia, NC . He was a proud graduate of Campbell University and carried his strong work ethic and sharp mind throughout his life.
Outside of work, Bahre embraced life fully. He loved sports—especially football—and had a deep appreciation for golf. He enjoyed performing with his local theater group, dancing with his wife, and spending time with friends, often sharing laughs and music together. He was active in civic clubs such as the Lions Club Fellowship and a Charter Member in the Leesburg Optimist Club where he was given a Lifetime Membership.
What stands out most, however, is the way Bahre made people feel. The many phone calls and messages received speak to his generosity, his genuine friendship, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He had a gift for making connections and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Rather than tears, Bahre hoped to be remembered in laughter—the kind he sparked so effortlessly in those around him.
In leu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a donation to your favorite charity in Bahre’s name.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 6, 2026 in the White Funeral and Cremation Service Bolivia Chapel.
