

Mrs. Bonnie Jean Thornton, 74, gained her wings Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 at her home in Supply. Born in Fayetteville, NC, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Virginia Herring. A devoted grandmother, she loved being surrounded by her family. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed playing cards with special friends Mary Frances and Rodney Lehue. She loved crafts such as cake decorating and sewing. In her younger years, you could find her fishing off the Intracoastal Waterway of Holden Beach. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edward Thornton; devoted son, TJ Thornton & wife Allison; three granddaughters, Brittany Thornton (Michael Smith), Peyton Workman, Khloe Workman; one grandson, Nicholas "punkin" Taylor; two sisters, Barbara Goodman of Fayetteville, Becky Lockwood of Charleston; one brother, Stevie Herring of Bakersfield, CA; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 13th, two o’clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Supply Chapel with Pastor Lucas Grainger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and other times at the home of TJ & Allison Thornton.
