David Tomlinson Heath, 67, of Shallotte, NC, formerly of Connecticut, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 22, 2016. He was born in Wallingford, Conn., July 19, 1948, son of the late John M. and Barbara (Tomlinson) Heath. He received his BA from the University of Connecticut. He moved to North Carolina several years ago. His many interests included volunteer work, gardening, camping, and traveling. He is survived by two brothers, John M. Heath, Jr. and wife Donna of Woodbridge, CT, and Jeffrey R. Heath of Beacon Falls, CT; his two nephews, Michael and John; and his niece, Marissa. Services were held privately in North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David's honor may be made to the Museum of Coastal Carolina, 21 East Second St., Ocean Isle Beach, NC 28469.
