Elaine R. Green

Born in Jamaica, NY on July 18, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Helen Hacey. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Thomas Townsend Green and a sister, Helen Spaeth.

A "classy lady”, “Energetic ” was how some affectionately describe her. She could also be a lot of fun and had an infectious beautiful smile. Elaine was a Master Gardner and was president of the Lake of the Woods Garden Club. A woman with high standards, she excelled at whatever she did as evidenced by her role as department manager of Lord and Taylor Department Store. She was a longtime member of St. James the Fisherman Episcopal Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Revis and husband Ronnie of Murrells Inlet, SC, Susie Green of Wilmington, NC; a son, Thomas Townsend Green, II and wife Grace of Wantagh, NY; five grandchildren, Robert, Brandon, Thomas, James and Matthew. She was an

animal lover, especially her beloved Schnitzel.

Graveside services will be at 11AM on Friday, the 6th of October 2017 in Oleander Memorial Gardens, Wilmington, NC.
