So sorry to hear of the passing of Ginger.  She was a sweet witty person.  I will miss running into her at the post office and catching up.  Rest in peace my friend!

Aunt Ginger loved her family dearly.  She loved her nieces and nephews very much.  She loved us like a mom and would keep secrets like a sister.  

She'd take us to the movies, buy us candy as we would count our pennies, let us ride on her go-cart, and play cards together  teaching us how to play UNO.  She even had a bubble gum machine in her room that she kept filled for us kids.  And if we didn't have a penny for that machine, she always had change put aside for us. 
She loved music and had a wide assortment from Lionel Richie to KISS.  She opened us up to all kinds of music.  Aunt Ginger was cool, I mean KISS cool.  It was a little scary at first going into her bedroom with all those KISS posters, KISS dolls, posters glowing in the dark and KISS music playing but when you'd listen to her talk about them and how it lite her eyes up talking about them, how could you not like them. So not only did she turn me onto KISS but I saw my first scary movie with her  Jason.  We kept that a secret from Mom and Dad. 
Aunt Ginger even DJ for us at our Halloween party that mom and dad threw for us when we were in middle school.  When we would call and ask her to help out she was there.  She would even chaperon so we could have a beach house party and a graduation party when it wasn't cool to have your parents there. 
 
Aunt Ginger was an avid artist drawing some pretty amazing carton drawings.  She drew characters such as Garfield, the Smurfs, and Mickey Mouse for her nieces and nephews.  We still have those drawings and will treasure them.  She was drawing even till her last days, coloring a Mickey Mouse which she did for Chandler.  She preferred to free hand draw but she did paint some as well.  She painted sunsets on the ocean and unicorns on canvas.  She enjoyed painting Grandma's pottery figurines as well, such detail and creativity.  There was Santa Claus and Ms. Claus, a manager scene, all kinds of animals, and little dwarfs from snow white along with many more.   
  
Aunt Ginger was an avid fisherman as well.  She loved fishing at the Long Beach fishing pier and in the river.  If she wasn't home she was fishing and spending time with her friends.  They were many times she would be there even in the wee hours of the night trying to catch them fish.  It was her peace and a place to unwind and not think about her troubles.  She enjoyed talking about her fishing and if she didn't agree with the regulation sizes, well she'd let me know for sure.  She would delight in stories about fishing.  

When we were young, Aunt Ginger was a mom too us and a big sister when we needed.  If anyone ever got in our way or tried to put us down, she was there to lift us up and put them in their place.   She was proud of her nieces and nephews.  
Rest in peace Aunt Ginger.

God saw you getting tired,
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped his arms around you,

You didn't deserve what you went through,
So He gave you rest.
God's garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best

I have fond memories of Ginger. She was always very sweet to Deana and me. I'll miss our conversaions we would have. Love and miss Ginger. My prayers and love go out to Pearl and the Stump family.
