Born in Bennettsville, SC on the twenty ninth of April 1946, he was a son of the late Samuel E and Rose Lee Hood Hodge. John was preceded in death by his wife Judy Hodge, and three brothers, Charles, David and Donald Hodge.
He was a retired sheetrock installer and enjoyed singing karaoke with his friends and family.
Survivors include a daughter, Laura Rena Smith; two sons, Jay Allen Hodge, J.J. Lunsford; step daughters, Michelle Karwoski, Renee Register; many grandchildren; a sister, Elsie Berry and a special friend Sandy Gore.
The family will receive friends from six o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday the twenty ninth of March 2018 at the White Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel, Bolivia Supply Chapel.
Inurnment will be three o’clock in the afternoon on Friday the thirtieth of March in Oleander Memorial Gardens, Wilmington, NC.
