Loretta Marie Lee

She was born in Upshur County, WV February 20, 1928 and lived many years in Hudson, Ohio. After retirement she lived in Denver NC. After a brief illness she then moved to Southport NC for the remainder of her life and resided at Ocean Trail nursing facility in Southport, NC. She loved her friends at Ocean Trail and her nurses. She especially enjoyed the activities with Ms. Liz and all the volunteers who came to play bingo, sing, and just sit and talk. The family expresses there sincere thanks to all of them. She was preceded in death by 2 children, Shirley of California and Denzil of Ohio, and her husband Jesse.

She is survived by 2 children, Carol (Bruce) Hicks of Cornelius, NC and Colleen (Lewis) Weathers of Oak Island NC. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren Tanya, Jeanne, Jessica, Wesley, Brett, Denny, and 6 great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; also 5 sisters Armeda, Georgia, Kathleen, Maxine, Lucille, and 4 brothers Ray, Jim, Doyle, and Tommy, which she always loved to call and talk with.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted by her nephew David Hamm on Wednesday, August 3rd at 12 noon at Evergreen Cemetery, Amherst, Ohio. A luncheon will follow.

Memorials may be made to Ocean Trail Activity Fund, Southport NC or Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Bolivia, NC.
