Mildred Virl Dawson, passed peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Mildred was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland McCoy and Clara Dugger McCoy. She is preceded in death by her husband Ruben Martin Dawson. Grandson Tab Carpenter. Two great grandsons, Adam Dawson and Charles Miller Jr. and great great grandson Jace Williford.
Mrs. Dawson is survived by three daughters; Martha Proper of MI., Clara Carpenter of GA., and Theresa Sago of Shallotte, NC,and one son Lynn Dawson of FL; twelve grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and sixteen great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 4:00-8:00pm, Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Chattanooga Funeral Home North. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 8, 2014 also at the Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
