Mr. Lamanga was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 4, 1932 and was son of the late Peter Albert Lamanga, Sr. and Concetta Ciullo Lamanga. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. Mr. Lamanga was a gifted and talented scenic artist and worked with CBS for 26 years designing scenes for the soap opera “As The World Turns”. During his career, he received a Daytime Emmy Award. He was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his soulmate of 43 years, Eleanor Rainford; four daughters, Judy Daly of CA, Karen Clemens, Kerry Overman and husband, Brad, and Erin Hock and husband, Jim, all of Hampstead, NC; son, Robert Voetsch-Rainford of Supply, NC; sister, Letitia Lamanga of NY; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 4, 2025 at eleven o’clock in the morning at White Funeral and Cremation Service, 603 Ocean Highway E, Bolivia, NC.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2025 from six to eight o’clock in the evening at the funeral home.
