Sarah J. Lewis

Mrs. Lewis was born in Onslow County on April 27, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Ernest Lee Melton and Ethel Meadows Melton. She was wife of the late Elmer Lewis and was also preceded in death by a son, Darren Melville and a sister Norma Jean Melton. She was a Logistics Manager at Sunny Point prior to her retirement after 38 years of service. Sarah was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Don Melville of Atlanta, GA. and Donna Melville of Supply, NC ; a grandson, Darren Michael Melville of the home; two great-grandchildren, Gage and Noah Melville; two brothers, Johnny Melton and Bennie Melton of Hubert, NC; two sisters, Elizabeth Riggs of Newport, NC and Ann Curtis of Springfield, IL.

Funeral services will be held Sunday July 3, 2022 at Three o’clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service Bolivia Chapel with Reverend Tim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
