Tentis was also known as "Detector Moe" and was born in Brunswick County on June 16, 1975 and was the son of the late Tentis Dixon and Helen Anderson Dixon. He was an avid metal detector and enjoyed playing Disc Golf. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Tann Dixon, son in-law, Vernie Jacobs and a brother in-law Terry Cate.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Michelle Moore of the home; two children, Sheena Jacobs of Varnamtown, Jeff Benedict and wife Leah of Tennessee; grandchildren, Jesse, Hunter, Conner and Zanaya Grace; two brothers, Will Moore of Goldsboro and Randy Dixon of Varnamtown; four sisters, Kaye Bennette and husband John, Christy Melton and husband John, Tina Nobles and husband Kenny and Helen Fay Carter and husband Ronald all of Supply; four nieces, nine nephews, five great-nieces and eight great nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
