It was one year ago today that we lost you Albert, you are missed my Friend, Big Time! Walk with the Angels!

My Tocayo was full of life and joy.  My big brother who always adviced me and showed me the right ways. Especially how to be a good Father, Son and Brother. Tocayito,  I will miss you very much and please know that you will never be forgotten.  Your heart ❤ was as big as your soul and character. I love you Tocayo and will never forget those great talks, lunches we used to go to. Thank you for always believing in me and giving me always your support and advice. Albert we met in 2002 and you were always fun and entertaining, working or socially, I will miss our phone calls and get together s, I feel Lucky to have called you Friend, may you walk with the Angels and look over your family in the House of God Albert, God Bless you!

I have so many fond memories of my tio Alberto. He was such an amazing family man and uncle. We spoke in a Peruvian accent like Laura in America lol. I will miss hearing him say “Amigaaaaaaa” every time I would walk through his door followed with a hug. I love you and I miss you Tio.

Primeramente mi más sentido pésame ala familia verdugo  ,esposa e hijas y familiares más cercanos.  alberto  fui de tus primeros trabajadores y con profunda tristeza oy  te miro partir dejando un gran vacío en la vida de de mucha jente que te apreciamos. fuiste un gran maestro  para todos  con un carácter fuerte pero con un gran corazón, nunca te guardaste nada y disfrutaste cada momento de triunfos con tu jente sin duda alguna te vamos a hechar de menos.  espero que a donde ayas ido estés en paz que dios te vendiga siempre a ti y a tu familia le otorgue  la resignación  siempre estarás en el corazón de tu jente tus trabajadores. 

Dear Verdugo family I send you my deepest condolences, To Elvia and his daughters I’m so truly sorry for your loss .I remember when I met Albert at concrete concepts , we    all wound gather at a 7/11 I. San Diego to see where we were going to work . He was     a very good formsetter as we would ride share to Temecula to work . I would sometimes pick him up in El Cajon to go to work . When I finally started his own company he called me to see if I would work for him and I didn’t hesitate to lend a hand . Albert gave me a lot of support and confidence to run work for him , he was truly a very talented and smart man . He would always have a big smile and made you laugh , he had the biggest heart and soul of anyone I know . I had the privilege to call him my bro , so  would help you in a heartbeat no matter the reason he was always there for me . I will miss he dearly mi hermano , my prayers are with you , will see you later amigo ,

Con una profunda tristeza en el corazón, quiero darles mis más sentidas condolencias a la familia Verdugo por la partida del Sr. Alberto Verdugo (mi patrón). Que por más de 20 años he estado a sus servicios como trabajador donde construimos una bonita amistad de confianza y respeto, siendo el una persona de palabra, generoso, y de gran corazón. Cuantos momentos inolvidables vivimos durante todo este tiempo y lo único que puedo decir es gracias a dios por haberlo puesto en mi camino. Siempre lo recordaremos con aprecio y cariño. Que Dios lo tenga en santa gloria. Descanse en paz, Alberto Verdugo. 

I met Albert in 2000 when I was laying out hardware for one of his jobs.  But started working very close with him about 5 years ago. And all I have to say is that we have loss a great friend, father, husband and a great, great human being.   Albert would call me and tell me that he was there in anything he could help me out with.    He was the guy that open a lot of doors to me with lots of contractors.  And I’m very proud to say that I’m heading into a good path and all because of ALBERT J. VERDUGO.
You will be missed my friend.   

I knew Albert’s passing was coming for a long time. I will tremendously miss him. I’ve told him he was my brother as I often called him Mi Hermano. I told him I loved him and he likewise told me more than once. He wasn’t shy sharing his emotions and always had a great smile.
Recently, he left me a very gracious and complimentary voice message. I shared it with Elvia. The voice message clearly and directly displayed Albert’s character which we all should aspire to. He indeed was a special man.
I met him in 1986. He and I often met for lunch and discussed our wives and family. He was proud of his. His demeanor and smile spoke highly of them. 
Several years, I was involved in my Church’s service project for an addition to a home with three Autistic children. Albert immediately stepped forward when he heard about it, delivering two free truckloads of sand, arranged for big discounted prices for concrete and rebar, and arranged for the free use of an overhead pump.
When he worked for Concrete Concepts, I took him home for lunch. My wife was shocked to learn of the Cancer. During the last few months, I asked Albert what Chinese or Vietnamese food he would enjoy served in his home. My wife happily prepared the various meals for him & his family as she knew how much he meant to me. He was very worthy of this.
I will miss him at the Christmas parties he held for his employees. They will not be the same without him. He and Elvia made sure all of them went home with a raffle prize and a nice jacket. From my observations, he treated them well. Some of them I knew. They had nothing but praise for him.
He called me at times when very excited about an event in his life. At times of great disappointment, he was soon very forgiving of those that brought him the initial disappointment. We all can learn to do so.
He was a man we all could rise up to and emulate. I look forward to the day I once again will see & hug him in our Heavenly Father’s presence. I deeply miss him.


One of my fondest memories of Albert, and there are many, but at my wedding, during a tradition in my family with the playing of "We Are Family", he joined all of my family members on the dance floor!

Truly a person with a big heart!

I will always miss hearing that initial sentence from your calls. But mostly the fact that you always remembered birthdays and tried to make them special. Thank you my friend rest peacefully. 

My deepest condolences to the Verdugo family!! I had the opportunity to work with Mr verdugo for 15 years, and all I can express it’s my admiration to Albert, on  both: as a friend, and as a business man, he’s ethics’s and professionalism exceeded, at all times my expectations, 
Mr verdugo will always remain in my thoughts for years to come, as an excellent human being.

Mi Queridisimo Cuñado, Compadre, Patron Alberto,  Como me duele tu partida, como te vamos a extrañar, tu persona, tu caracter, tu bondad, tu generosidad, tu lealtad, tu sentido del humor, tu inteligencia por que eras bien trucha cuñado no se te iva ni una, tu mente siempre tan clara nada se te olvidaba. El mundo pierde una persona valiosa, Seguiremos tu legado, continuaremos con lo que tu creaste con tanto esfuerzo y dedicacion , se que te preocupaba muchos los empleados, que ellos continuaron trabajando con seguridad de su empleo y asi lo vamos a continuar por que se que tu desde donde estes nos vas a guiar y no vas a hechar una mano. It was always a pleasure to assist Albert, when he called the bank CBT. His enthusiasm and good energy was felt even through the phone. May you rest in Peace Albert.
