OBITUARY

Alejandro Cortez

7 September, 1959 – 17 May, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

Glen Abbey Memorial Park & Mortuary

Alejandro Cortez passed away peacefully at his home on May 17, 2025, at the age of 65. Though taken from us too soon, his life was full of strength, service, and deep love for his family.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Leobardo and Ines Cortez, and a dear sister, whom he now joins in eternal rest. He is survived by his four devoted children—Elvera Virginia Cortez, Nicole Marie Rivera, Andres Alejandro Cortez, and Sandra Karina Brown Cortez—five cherished grandchildren, and his eight loving brothers and sisters.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Alejandro served his country with honor for four years. Following his military service, he continued a life of dedication and excellence, working for 30 years as an F-18 Aircraft Machinist for the Department of Defense before retiring early.

Alejandro was a man of quiet strength and unwavering commitment. He poured his heart into his family and his land, working through rain, hardship, and illness with love, discipline, and dignity. His hands built a life rooted in care, sacrifice, and pride.

He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and love—a legacy that lives on in his children, grandchildren, and all those who had the privilege to know him.
