Aurora Mamaril Castillo

Aurora was born on November 3, 1944, in Malasiqui, Pangasinan, Philippines, to Alfredo and Modesta (née Carrera) Mamaril, Sr. She was the third of five children and grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and strong family values. Aurora earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a minor in Banking and Finance, from Luzon Colleges.

In 1964, she married Rodulfo “Roding” Castillo, with whom she shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised three children—Arlene, Randy, and Arcy—whom she loved deeply and supported wholeheartedly.

Affectionately known as “Auring”, Aurora will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, strong religious faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. A gifted cook, an avid gardener, and pet lover, she found joy in nurturing people, plants, and animals. Family gatherings were brighter because of her laughter, kindness, and thoughtfulness—she was truly the heart of her home.

Aurora leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her children, Arlene Castillo, Randy Castillo, and Arcy (Joseph) Davis; her grandsons, Romeo Castillo Pacal, Peter Joseph Castillo Davis, and Randy Christopher Castillo, Jr.; her brother, Benjamin (Sonia) Mamaril; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Modesta Mamaril; her husband, Rodulfo Camacho Castillo; her brother, Alfredo Mamaril, Jr.; and her sisters, Zenaida Mamaril Eurolpan and Shirley Mamaril Solis.

Aurora will be forever missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her light lives on in the hearts of those she touched.

Visitation will be held at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, Magnolia Room, on April 9, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at Church of the Most Precious Blood, 1245 4th Ave, Chula Vista, CA 91911, US, on April 10, 2026, at 10:00 am.

A Committal Service will be held at Glen Abbey Memorial Park on April 10, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
