

Auntie Ding was born on August 2, 1915, on the island of Guam. Her parents were Ignacio Toves Borja (Familian Bela) and Vicenta Santos (Familian Sohgue). She was additionally raised by her aunt, Ana Toves Borja. Her siblings were Juan, Dolores, John, Jose, Francisco and Rosa.
She enjoyed baking, fine jewelry and traveling. Auntie Ding toured the world to places like Asia, Europe, the Philippines and the United States. She especially enjoyed Hong Kong and the Vatican. She supported causes and donated to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Disabled Veterans Association and the American Cancer Society but her passion in life was her family, a large and extended family filled with cousins, nieces and nephews. She loved being with family and devoted most of her life as a caregiver to her brothers and sisters and their families during their time of need.
Auntie Ding was a devout Catholic. She prayed the rosary daily as well as daily prayers to St. Jude.
Her passing has been a great loss to those who loved her. She had blessed their lives with her presence, love, moral support, kindness, helpfulness, and her awesome cooking!
Auntie Ding is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
