

Catherine (Cathy) Thibodeau, was born on September 19, 1942 to Howard and Clara Johnson in northern Minnesota. She lived in the small town of Bejou, Minnesota, with her brother, Michael and her sister, Patricia.
It was there that Cathy met her future husband, Richard (Dick) Thibodeau. They went to grade school together in Bejou.
Cathy's father, Howard, passed away in 1952 and the family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cathy's mother, Clara met and married Kenneth Minton. Soon after, her sister Candace and brother Michael Minton were born.
In 1961, Dick Thibodeau was on active duty in the Navy and proposed marriage to Cathy. Dick returned on leave from Bermuda, and they were married in Bejou on September 22, 1962.
They lived in Bermuda and had two sons, Richard and Michael. After transferring back to the US, they were stationed in San Diego, California where their daughter, Tina, was born in 1968.
They were transferred to Hawaii and returned to San Diego in 1972, where they bought a house and currently reside.
Cathy worked for many years at Daniel Boone Elementary school as a teacher's aide. She loved working with children.
Cathy loved to travel and cruise. They went many places and countries. England, France, Russia, Greece, Italy, Africa, and the islands of Tahiti, Bora Bora, and Fiji were just some of the places they visited.
Cathy loved Succulents and had a large succulent garden, where she spent many hours caring for them.
Cathy passed away on January 24, 2022 in her sleep. Cathy is survived by her husband, Dick, sons Rick, Michael and daughter Tina, and granddaughter, Ashley, along with her sisters, Patricia and Candace, and her brother, Michael. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather Kenneth Minton and brother Howard Michael Johnson.
Cathy will be greatly missed by her family and all her friends and neighbors. May she rest in peace.
