Dan Edward Griffith

Dan was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Louis and Jerry (Hamm) Griffith, the youngest of three children. He attended Cabrillo and Silvergate Elementary Schools, Dana Junior High School and Point Loma High School. Dan worked in a variety of jobs, most recently for MWR Projects.

Dan was larger than life, one of a kind. The room lit up when he walked in! He enjoyed exuberant story-telling, watching all genres of movies and old sit-coms. He found his passion for acting later in life, performing in many of Vanguard Theater’s productions.

Dan was known by all who loved him as a child at heart, a comedian and, most importantly, a wonderful husband, son, brother, stepfather and uncle. He is survived by his wife Tracy, his father Louis Griffith, his mother Jerry Griffith, his sisters Diane and Kathy and their families, stepchildren Mandy and Dustin and many more loving friends and family.

Viewing is July 31 from 5:30-9 pm at Glen Abbey’s Little Chapel of Roses, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita

Memorial service is August 1 at 2 pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3598 Talbot Street, San Diego. Please wear bright colors in celebration of Dan’s life.
