I met David a few years ago while I was transitioning to support one of our acquisitions  within MDT.  From the moment we met he pulled me under his wing, helped me get up to speed with the project/business, who I needed to know and helped me with introductions to our suppliers and newly acquired CIT folks.  He was always there for a consult, question or to offer support.  We worked through several extensions for some personnel impacted by the acquisition and I always appreciated his sensitivity and care for the folks involved.  I miss his smile, his hugs, his sincere interest in me as a person and most of all his caring nature.

To David’s family - I am so very sorry for your loss, words are not in my vocabulary to articulate my condolences.  He was a great man, a great work partner and friend, the world is dimmer without his presence and smile.  May God’s blessings be with you.


It was truly a pleasure to get to know and work with David.  He was an outstanding character.  He was a great coach and mentor to me during my transition to the AFS business.  My favorite memory of David is when I met him on a business trip in the Netherlands.  We met for breakfast, and we spent the entire hour talking about our kids.   I saw him light up as he shared stories of his wife and boys, which was nice because he was usually even keeled.  I will miss him dearly.

For the family, I hope you are able to dull the pain through the fond memories that others will share during the next few very difficult days.  


I have had the pleasure of working with David very closely over the last 16 months, and I will miss his infectious laugh, big smile, and extremely positive and professional attitude.  He was always so supportive and never shied away from a challenge.  It's what made working with him enjoyable and productive.  May he now be resting in peace and providing his guidance from heaven.  My prayers are with your family during this time.  God bless.

Very sad news, David was a great professional but a better human being. I had the priviledge to work with him at Medtronic AFS Business. My sincere condolences to his family and my prayers in this difficult time.

David was amazing. He could navigate the toughest negotiations with ease and was so caring of others in difficult business situations. I learned so many things from him. 
My favorite memory of David was from travels to Montreal. He would always find a store that had his children’s favorite candies and make sure he had plenty to bring home. 
My wish for David’s wonderful family is that they  may find comfort and strength in the warmth and caring of friends and family at this most difficult time. 




David was a great friend. I will miss him dearly. Every time  we got together, we always talked about family first. He is so proud of his boys and loved to tell stories about them. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family as they go through this difficult time.

Working with David in the past 7 years has been very pleasent and David was always very patient to all my "stupid questions". I will always remember when I visit Tijuana site,  David drove me every day between Tijuana and San Diego,  and we talked about work, family, etc. The world lost such a nice person with huge heart and talent. My deepest condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathies during this hard time of loss.
I worked with David 3 years ago during CardioInsight's integration with Medtronic. I will remember David for his patience, helpful nature and all the guidance he provided.  With this and so many more memories we will hold onto as treasure, David will be dearly missed. 

The world has lost one of the good ones. I worked with David at Medtronic Ablation Frontiers in Carlsbad. He was a great leader with a huge heart. He supported his employees and always made sure everyone's family came first and made clear how much he loved spending time with his own family. Hard to find the right words...so sorry for you loss.

Even though I did not have the opportunity to get to know my primo David very well, I always heard what an extraordinary person he was. Growing up I always heard my parents saying how successful and how much pride he had in his work. I also had the chance to see how much his direct family looked up to him. I know that even though he is not here with us anymore his legacy, his love, and his examples will always be here with the ones who cared and looked up to him.


My deepest condolences to his family friends David Parra was a good teacher and a good leader he taught me I had to trust myself and that no obstacle or challenge was too big to be tackled.

I never had a chance to  thank him for Giving me the First  big opportunity in my career.

I will keep him on my prayers as I'm sure he's now resting in peace.

I remember when Vivi would come to our house on the weekends. He worked in Tijuana and from time to time, he would spend the weekend at our house. It was a ritual to go get Jim’s burgers and sit around our  kitchen table and talk about what was going on. Vivi would talk to my brothers and catch up, being younger than them, I’d keep quiet and listen to their conversations. He would never finish his milkshake because he knew that I liked milkshakes. He always kept just enough so that I could have some. My deepest condolences to his family, my padrinos and my cousin Victor.  May you Rest In Peace, Primo. 

My primo David, I will miss you enormously. Thanks for all the great childhood memories and the late nights playing Atari baseball.  My deepest condolences to David's wife and sons, my padrinos, and my cousin Victor and family.
