Frank J. Dutra, (72), of San Diego, California, passed away on July 9, 2023 at the VA Hospital in La Jolla, CA. Frank was born to Frank and Norma Dutra, on August 28, 1950, in Rhode Island. He loved our country and served proudly in United States Army as part of the 101st Airborne Division. He is a Vietnam Veteran. Frank is survived by his wife Edith and two children Frank and Susan. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Jazmine, Solomon, Jacob, Jared, Wade, and Scarlet, along with his four great-grandchildren, Lucia, Kyrie, Oziah, and Sofia. Frank is also survived by his sister Carolyn and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Frank’s family will host a mass and memorial service on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. The services will be at Mission San Luis Rey, in Oceanside, CA. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Disabled American Veterans or the American Cancer Society in Frank’s name. Frank was a man of his word; he was deeply devoted to his family, and he loved his wife immensely. He will truly be missed.
