Genevieve Maria Childers, born July 29th, 1937, passed away on December 15, 2018. A loving mother and devoted wife who is survived by her two children and 9 grandchildren. The youngest of three, Genevieve was born in Australia to Frank and Nerida McNamara. She went to school there and became a registered Nurse before meeting her future husband, USN Lt Gary Childers, and immigrating to the United States. There she raised her two children and helped successfully run a family Pet store.
A strong Catholic who loved her family and did all she could to take care of them. She enjoyed travel and her pets. She put her family first and always encouraged her children to constantly strive for the best.
We’ll miss her but take comfort in the fact she is finally with her husband, Gary, in heaven.
