Harold was born in Bonham, Texas in 1928. He was a proud retired Marine who served in the Korean War and in Japan after WWII. After retiring from his military service, he worked as a Western Lumber general manager for 32 years.
Harold is survived by his wife Faye of 68 years, son Terry and his wife Polly, daughter Pam and her husband Russ, and son Jon and his wife Patty. He had seven grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way. He was a loving husband, father and Grandad.
Harold loved woodworking and enjoyed making lawn whirligigs and toy chests for his family and friends. He enjoyed cooking and was always sure to share his delicious soups, salsas, and monkey bread with the family. His favorite family hobby was taking his children camping and fishing, a tradition the family still carries on today.
