Bro Jacques:  One hopes you are out there watching and listening.
I have chosen to express the following on the 27 th of March, 2023:
I will always regret not having recited these Christian words to myself  before I was alienated from your younger sister in January of 1993 and from you in November of 2007.
I believe they are from the Lord’s Prayer.  
  « Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. »
 I am not proud about having so much difficulty when it comes to forgiving those who have hurt my belief in that  institution
we call ‘ family.’

Bro Jacques:  Something moved me in  the direction of remembering certain family members the way I knew and loved them long ago; this before certain  unfortunate events happened that tore the unity of this family apart. I feel I am moving in the right direction. I wish you happiness wherever you are; I do hope those you love the most join you in a world filled only with bliss.

 Is Jacques buried at  Glen Abbey?

Knowing my great friend, Gilles, for more than 45 years, Jacques’ younger brother, during a trip to California in September-October 2005, I had the opportunity to meet Jacques.
We met on the Island of Coronado (San-Diego). That day, he came with his Chevrolet Pickup from the mid-50s, which Jacques had completely redone.
I was very impressed by the high quality and perfection of his work.
I have a great memory of meeting Jacques.
All my condolences to Charlotte Marie LeSage and the whole family, especially to my great friend Gilles, to Monique, whom I have never had the opportunity to meet, and to Barbara Ann, whom I had the pleasure of meeting in Montreal, many years ago.

Today is a day I celebrate the life a man who was my good friend as well as a second father! Pa Pa JoJo never judge me for my faults, but always had solutions or a good story to comfort me. I met Jo Jo in 1975 when me my family and I moved to San Diego, being from a military family myself. Jo Jo was always there for me while my father was to sea protecting this country. I will forever be greatful to you and the many stories we shared over the years! I will Love you and miss you forever my good friend and I know you are sitting next to the Almighty watching over us All!!! Rest In Heaven Is Pa Jo Jo!!

I met Jacques and his family while attending the North Clairemont church of Christ. I'd like to offer my condolences to both his immediate family, and to his larger family in Christ. Jacques planned well for this time, and it is they, not he, who have suffered loss. What is most memorable about my times with Jacques besides his faith, was his intelligence expressed in a continuously curious mind--about the Bible, automobiles, nuclear power plants, and most anything else that drew his attention. He was a great student, and a great teacher. One of the things he enjoyed doing, and I am sure many others will recognize this, was greeting each other the "Roman way", where instead of shaking hands, you'd grab each others elbow and hold each other's forearm. Jacques explained that it symbolized a much more significant relationship. Jacques was physically a big and strong man. But he was at the same time a very sensitive, insightful, and loving man. During the years I preached at North Clairemont,  Jacques was always supportive and constructive in his feedback. Jacques' was an optimistic, positive outlook. He loved people--truly, and regardless of his opinions regarding their personal choices--his love was unconditional. More than once he encouraged this former preacher. Heaven is rejoicing that Jacques has finished the course he laid out for himself so long ago. Those of us who knew and loved him should rejoice with him, even as we mourn our own personal loss.   

No teacher should ever stop being a student; nor should one ever forget the most valuable lessons they have learned.   And yet, how often this thought slips my mind:  "Look for the good and praise it."
 I hope, therefore, that Monique will not mind if I  borrow these words when she reached out to Jill  and Will  in Gloucester and Rockport ...within 24 hours of Jacques' decease:
   "We lost his sweet and gentle self on Tuesday...I cannot believe he is no longer an earthling."

I will greatly miss my lifelong friend, Jack..from our days at Crawford High and when we traveled over 4,000 miles across country in my 1917 T Roadster to visit Frank Noles in Jonesboro, Arkansas.  We had many fun times and even joined the Marines together, shoulder to shoulder in 1963 till discharged in 1968.  He was a kind and gentle man who loved his wife, Charlotte and his family more than anything.  Through the years we enjoyed going to car shows and just hanging out.   I will miss our Saturday morning phone calls and driving down to Chula to have breakfast together.    Goodbye my friend ..I'll see you later.  Semper fi

Jacques boys:   I was only 8 when I lost my father; he was just 48.  I have never come to grips with that loss.
 I am grateful that all of you  had  so many happy years  to share with Jacques.
 My most special memory?   Riding around with my father while he made house calls..back when doctors still did that.  Jacques and I  would name the make and the year of every car that went by...and we were only 7 and 8 years old.   I must add those memories from Paradise Mesa dragstrip
as well as cruising drive in restaurants in high school. We were the movie, "American Graffiti".
 My most satisfying moment at 1084 Karen Way?  Solving a difficult electrical problem on his 57 pick up.  I returned some months later to help him install a brand new  Chevy engine in that same truck...but that never came to fruition.
 Brandon, may your recent  marriage bring you both nothing but joy.
 I am so sorry that events in 2007 kept me from seeing all of you.

Jill (Bloombergh) and I are saddened to hear of Jacques passing. I only met him just a couple years ago while visiting San Diego. We had a nice lunch which was truly a pleasure. Condolences to all the Bowlens and Lesages.
