Joyce was a resident of Chula Vista, California since 1969. She was born in Minnesota.
She was a devoted mother, Grammy, and GG Joyce. She cherished the friends she made throughout her life and loved to make new ones. She was an enthusiastic hometown fan of the Padres and Chargers. She was a member of Bay View Baptist Church. She loved music, live theatre, playing games, spending time with friends and family, and eating good food. She is forever in our hearts and memories
A funeral service will be held at Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary, located at 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902, United States. The service is scheduled for February 6, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Social and celebratory time to follow at the Thornton family home.
