

Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Juanita Alicdan Vidal was no exception. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Juanita will be remembered as an exceptional person.
Juanita’s life journey began on March 6, 1925. She was born in Kawit, Cavite, Philippines. However she was raised in Kavite, Cavite Philippines. Her parents' were Anastacio and Teodora Sanares Alicdan. She was raised with her siblings Salud Alicdan Victoria, Bienvenido Sanares Alicdan, Momoy Sanares Alicdan, Felisismo Sanares Alicdan, Conrado Sanares Alicdan, Domenig Sanares Alicdan, Aurora Alicdan Virata, Rodolfo sanares Alicdan, Elvira Alicdan Velasquez. Juanita was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her family sharing many life experiences over the years.
Juanita was a typical teenager who had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She graduated from Cavite High School.
Falling in love is a huge milestone for any person. Just knowing that you have met that special someone is a magical feeling. Juanita experienced that with Daniel Vidal and the couple exchanged wedding vows on September 11, 1945 in the Church of Christ in the Philippines in the city of Kawit, Cavite. Empathic and loyal, Juanita was committed to making her new family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Juanita was blessed with a son Eliseo Alicdan Vidal. Juanita and Daniel had the privilege and honor of having an adoptive daughter Meliza Vidal. Juanita worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs, raising her children in a positive and nurturing environment. Later on, Juanita was blessed with the gift of three grandchildren Rainier Vidal, Jovanie Vidal and Desiree Vidal Acio, a great-grandson Ethan Vidal Asio and three great-granddaughters, Elexus Ann Vidal, Kayla Grace Vidal and Jade Vidal.
How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, Juanita enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Juanita worked diligently and did her best to succeed in a small caretaking business in the Philippines when she was married.
A person's hobbies often mirror who they have become. Juanita enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in a number of different activities, including gardening, babysitting, spending quality time with family and friends. Juanita was a very religious lady and loved above all performing her duties as a deaconess for the church. One of her many accomplishments were her bringing new people to church.
Juanita Alicdan Vidal left us on January 17, 2013. She passed away Friendship Manor. The cause of death was due to a stroke. Juanita is survived by her Daughter-in-law Levita Isip Vidal, Grandson Rainier Isip Vida, grandson Jovanie Isip Vidal, a granddaughter Desiree Vidal Acio and adoptive daughter Meliza Vidal. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A Funeral Service was held at Glen Abbey Mortuary Chapel on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Juanita was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California on Saturday February 2, 2013.
So this is Juanita’s life, the sum of the woman that she became. Simply stated, Juanita was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Juanita leaves behind her a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life Juanita A. Vidal touched will always remember her with a smile.
