Juliet Villarante Mariano, also lovingly known as Jing, age 66, of Spring Valley, California passed away peacefully in the early morning of September 2, 2019. She is survived by her husband Ernesto G. Mariano, her daughters Michelle & Misty, and her son, Mark. Also, her mother Juana Olandria, her sister & husband Diona (Joji) and Edgar Osmena; her brother Reyvic Cerilles, and many cousins, nieces and nephews – all who she loved deeply.
Juliet’s life is marked by the love she had for everyone who walked into her life and by the imprints she has made on each of their hearts. She was known for her fierce and warm loving nature that everyone can attest is true. Juliet was a social butterfly and could make a friend out of anyone, anywhere. Many would say she brought people together and being friends with her was their greatest blessing.
Juliet was a nurse at Naval Medical Center of San Diego (formerly Balboa Naval Hospital) for their OBGYN/Oncology department. Everyone knew she had all the good snacks in her office and she always shared what she had with her co-workers, doctors, and friends who came to visit. Anyone who knew her, knew she had an obsession with chocolate and Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Everyone knew her to be generous, more caring and compassionate than most. Love was what she shared best. She was very well respected and loved by all.
Some of Juliet's favorite things were to spend time in her garden, create beautiful crafts, and to sing and dance. She was also a Candy Crush master and video game aficionado. But most of all she loved being surrounded by people. She found joy in sharing her home and in turn was fascinated by the stories and experiences of those who came to meet her from all over the world. Juliet and her family welcomed friends, family, and even international exchange students to stay in their home. Even if it was just for a visit or to live there for however long they needed. Many were lucky to experience her unconditional love and hospitality.
Even until 2017, when her health made it impossible to do the things she loved, she was a fighter. She spent her last days laughing, smiling and holding on. She inspired many people that true strength comes from love and family. Even in Juliet's last days she was always surrounded by those that remembered her tough but spirited loving nature.
Juliet will always be fondly remembered. Visitation & Commitment will be held 9/14-9/15 a Glen Abbey and will be interred at Miramar on 9/16. sh
