He is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Doreen. Together, they built a loving family that includes five children, 18 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Lawrence dedicated 29 years of his professional life as a regional manager for the San Diego Union-Tribune, where he was respected for his leadership and work ethic. Beyond his career, he embraced life with a spirit of adventure—especially enjoying travel in his motorhome, exploring new places and creating lasting memories.
Family gatherings were the heart of his happiness, where his quick wit and sense of humor always lit up the room. He will be remembered for his warmth, laughter, and the deep love he had for those around him.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and a life well-lived.
