Lindy V. Ray

On December 4, 2015, Lindy Ray passed away peacefully after succumbing to cancer. Lindy was at home in Jamul, CA with her family at the time of her passing. Lindy was age 67. She was a gentle, caring person who was loved by all.

Lindy was born on August 14th 1948 in Albany, NY. She worked at United Technologies (formerly Goodrich Aero Structures, and before that, Rohr Industries) in Chula Vista. She retired as a Master Scheduler after more than 43 years. Lindy was a fun-loving person who had a deep love and appreciation for her many pets. She loved baking, cooking, and she loved trying new projects and recipes.

Lindy was preceded in passing by her husband of more than 30 years, Maurice Ray on September 5, 2015. Lindy is survived by her daughter Angela and son Stevie, step-daughters Lynn and Debbie, and nephew Michael, as well as 6 grandsons, 8 granddaughters 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her children and grandchildren, Lindy is survived by M.D.’s mother, Violet Ray, and M.D.’s siblings, Dan, Tom, Steve, Janice and Bobby.

Lindy will be laid to rest with her husband, M.D. on December 15, 2015 at Miramar National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Shantel Scolari c/o Jamul Veterinary Hospital 13815 Hwy 94 Jamul CA, 91935.
