Born on August 11, 1947, in Rosario, Cavite, Oscar was the beloved son of Benvenuto Ramos and Araceli Abad. He lived a life defined by hard work, love, and dedication to his family. In 1973, he married the love of his life, Fe Soliven Ramos, and together they built a beautiful family, raising four children: Venessa, Vrian, Ven, and Vernon. His love extended to his cherished grandchildren—Aleia, Fe Marie, Hannah, Ella, Justin, and April—as well as his loyal canine companions, Lilo, Luna, Chaz, Loki, and Peter.
Oscar proudly served in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation Machinist before continuing his career as an Aircraft Mechanic at NAS North Island. Whether in uniform or at work, he was known for his diligence, skill, and commitment.
Beyond his profession, Oscar found joy in the simple pleasures of life—golfing, gardening, and cooking for his family. His love language was food, and his kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of his specialties: pork adobo, Filipino spaghetti, bistek, and giniling soup. He was happiest when surrounded by family, sharing a meal, and watching his grandchildren grow.
Oscar had a love for good action movies, especially those starring Jason Statham, and he enjoyed cruising to the sounds of smooth jazz. He never passed up a chance to indulge in his favorite foods, whether it was a deli sandwich, Filipino dishes, Mexican food, or Chinese cuisine.
His unwavering love and dedication to his family will be his lasting legacy. He worked tirelessly to provide and ensure their happiness, and his presence will be deeply missed.
