I remember an impromptu slumber party at Marina Pacifica. That turned into a ski trip to Big Bear the next day. There was a bunch of us. Caravanning in multible cars. I was in Paul's iconic  red fiat with the wink mirrior. So Paul!!! So carefree. I loved his adventurous spirt. We had such a good time.  I have a huge empty spot in my heart for him.

Rest In Peace my dear friend! Until we meet again…

I remember meeting Paul way back in the day  back when the family business was called Directions III.  I was their UPS Driver at the time.  My first encounter was with Paul's Dad Bill.  Needless to say it was an interesting  encounter. I remember Paul talking with me after saying do not worry what he says, he is cranky sometimes.  If you have any issues talk with me.  From there we were golden.  I have been the UPS driver for the family business for over 20 years, through the name changes and location changes too.  Paul was easy to talk with and you could talk with him about anything and he would enlighten you.  I know the past five years he had been going through some things. You will be  missed Paul. Rest in Peace my Friend.  We now have the Watch .

My condolences go out to his family.  I am his neighbor and would talk to him for hours sometimes about all kinds of stuff.  He was a very nice guy and always happy to help out from giving advice about Halloween decorations to lending me tools.  He will be missed.

Hard to even understand and comprehend my brother has passed.   Our family is heart broken and so very sad at the loss of our brother.   I will miss him so very much but I am glad he is no longer suffering and struggling.   Knowing Paul is with my mom and dad makes this sad time bearable.   

I will remember the happy,  joking Paul who had a heart of gold.   His friendly manner - always striking up a conversation with everyone he met.   The mayor.....    It's heart warming to hear the many, many stories and the kind thoughts about Paul.

His last year's had him face the biggest health and personal challenges and I never heard him complain.   

I love you Paul and will miss you terribly.

Losing a big-hearted guy like Paul hits hard because everyone loved him so much. He would stop everything for you and he loved to be a tour guide in every city he visited. I appreciated his goofiness and sense of humour.  I remember when he came to London and he stayed at my apartment. When he arrived he told me that his mom had told him not to make a nuisance of himself.  😂😂 He was so insulted by this, as if to say, “ya, sure, like I would ever be a nuisance..”😂😂 He leaves a big void but when I think of him I smile more often than I cry! As they say, “people don’t remember what you say, they remember how you made them feel”. Paul made you feel loved and at ease  in his company, like getting a big bear hug from him. His legacy is one of joy and great love. He will be missed but we were sure lucky to have him!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

On November 5 , 2021 our family lost one if it’s brightest lights .
Paul was my fun loving cousin who was full of mischief. I’m sure his mischief got him into hot water, but it also gave him the twinkle in his eyes . I’m still in shock that this beautiful soul will no longer be our California tour guide and entertainer . 
I still tell my stories of dirt biking with Paul in the dessert , attempting some fireworks smuggling from Mexico,  that didn’t end so well 😳and how he introduced me to the worm in tequila . I still laugh at sitting high up in his truck as he blew his  train horn impatiently at my daughter and son in law stuck  in parking lot jam in la joya beach !! I Will always remember Paul for putting a smile on everyone’s face and I will always smile when I hear the name Paul Van Zutphen 
RIP Paul . Love and miss you !

Paul was kind, generous and quick to laugh,  with a great sense of humor.
I can't imagine the sadness the family is feeling. 
I will always treasure my memories of jumping in your car and heading to Tijuana,  to barter shop, enjoy the cuisine and indulge in some tequila when we were teenagers. 
I will miss you my cousin.

I remember that Paul was a good guy who was always ready to help out when he was young and healthy. Loved his good nature. Love and prayers.

Paul was such a gem and welcomed me into his home even when Lauren and I were wild and loud, he was so kind and I’ll always remember when I worked at the shop and he would just be so nice even when he was cranky. He will be missed dearly.

I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. There really are no words.

Paul, I will always remember you as the gentle giant of your siblings.    You were always so sweet and kind to me as a client and as a friend.  Last time I saw you was probably at  a Globalshop ..  doing what we all loved...visiting among our crazy industry that we've all become such a family of...
