Perry Alan Burges

Perry Alan Burges of San Diego, CA died March 16, 2011. He was born in Glendale on 11/23/54 to Buster and Patricia Burges and was 56 years old. He is survived by his wife Susan, Daughters Terri, Madelyn and Allyson, sons-in-law Eric and Jermaine, brother Tom, sisters Ardita and Cathy, and his grandchildren Torrey, Alana, Matthew, Nathaniel and Emma. Perry grew up in San Diego and his family was very active in little league, first as a participant himself in Twin Hills and most recently as a coach mentoring youth softball. He was currently the assistant coach for the Mater Dei Catholic High School varsity girl’s softball team and was very active over the years in the Twin Hills, So Cal Venom, Imperial Beach, Bonita Valley and Valley Mesa Grove leagues for his beloved children and grandchildren. Baseball was one of his favorite things. Perry was also a longtime business owner, he had recently retired from his 7-11 store that he owned in Imperial Beach. Perry was a kind and generous man, always giving of himself to help others. He had a smile for anyone he met. Perry was most happy when he was spending time with children, especially his grandchildren. His family will dearly miss their beloved Perry or “Papa” as his grandchildren called him. But we know he is resting in peace with our Lord, watching us from above.
