Robert “Bobby” Buenaventura was born in Makati, Philippines on July 20, 1971. He moved to San Diego, CA in 1979, where he would reside for the remainder of his life. Bobby was unexpectedly called home to the Lord on the early morning of June 18, 2020; he was 48 years old at this time.
Coming from humble beginnings, Bobby was able to help establish and maintain a thriving automotive/window film installation business in 1993 with his business partner and best friend, Edgar Avendano. In 2008, he followed his dreams of gaining employment with the City of San Diego. Furthering his education, he obtained an Associates degree and numerous Technical
Certifications, which allowed him to be promoted to a Supervisor in the Radio Vehicle Installation group. His final position with the City of San Diego was that of, Supervisor of fixed equipment that maintains all city radio towers and dispatch center infrastructure.
Bobby’s biggest accomplishment, however, could be seen in his love and dedication to his wife, family and friends. He took pride in teaching and guiding his children. In addition to spending time with family, Bobby was an avid car and gun enthusiast.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Diane, and his children: RJ, Alex, Avangelyne, Luciano and Renae, as well as his mother, Mila and his brothers, sisters and extended family.
